We are Sister Roots.
A growing collective of women reimagining, designing and building a way to live in the world we believe in.
We believe our priorities are out of whack and need to be redesigned and redistributed.
We believe that what matters most is how we relate to the world and we know, how we relate to ourselves, leads that discussion.
We believe the world we inhabit is incredible and fascinating, much like ourselves.
Sister Roots lives inside the questions
Who am I? What does it mean to exist? What matters to me and why?
These questions are the heart of our work and together we are committed to engaged participation in
creating a world wide dream fit for all human beings.
“A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will go without pretense, and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself, and only herself.”
“When you go out into the woods and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You appreciate it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying “You’re too this, or I’m too this.” That judging comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.” Ram Dass
